Michael Paul Johnson

Michael Paul Johnson was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City during the 1990’s. After his father passed away from cancer, he found a way to process his grief through writing. He is a member of Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society, having studied English Literature at Mercy University and graduated Summa Cum Laude.

MPJ has four self-published novels on Amazon with a fifth debuting August, 15th, 2026, and his poem Warm November was published in Mercy University’s 2025 edition of Red Hyacinth literary magazine. Thanks to his never-ending passion for science-fiction, fantasy, and literature, Michael has devoted his life to writing stories containing emotionally complex characters and dynamic worlds, both new and familiar.

MPJ’s cats’ names are Ripley (the tortie seen above) and Crunch (the ginger long-hair that’s too skittish to catch on camera.) Their formal titles are the Duchess of Ripples and her sworn protector Ser Captain Crunch. They also answer to Schmipples and Scrunchy.
